The goal of the global “Fashion Revolution” movement is to bring more transparency to the fashion supply chain. Fashion lovers around the world are called upon to ask companies: who made my clothes? #whomademyclothes

PETER HAHN is naturally part of the “Fashion Revolution” and we are happy to answer this question. Using the hashtag #imadeyourclothes we are introducing the people behind our production. As an international trading company, we work together with many partners worldwide. In this cooperation we pay particular attention to the working conditions, because we want the people who produce goods for us to be treated fairly and we want to ensure that everything possible is done to protect their health and safety.

Here and now we give the people behind our fashion a voice and a face:

Peru – the origin of the unique INKADORO-style

Celestina, called Celeste by everybody, is soon to celebrate her 20th anniversary in the knitting workshop. She was already there when PETER HAHN placed its first order and since then she has become production team leader. In her free time, she sews dolls for her nieces and takes care of her parents.

Viktor works in a knitwear company that produces for our label INKADORO. He used to work for a yarn manufacturer, so he knows all about the different types of yarn. He loves to go shopping with his wife and is the number 1 goalkeeper in the company football team.

Karina is one of the newcomers. She has only been working in the studio for 2 years. After work, she spends most of her time with her family. And she has a very special love of chocolate.

Germany – rooted in tradition

Irene grew up in Romania and had already worked as a seamstress there. She is glad that there is also a possibility to prove her skills here in Germany. Irene has been working in this sewing room for more than 2 years.

Eunike took over the sewing shop about 3 years ago. She is glad that companies still have their products produced in the „Ländle“ on the Swabian Alb in Southern Germany. Her dog Nacho also accompanies her full of joy to the sewing shop every day.

Magdalena is happy to be employed part-time. This enables her to manage her working hours flexibly, as she has a small child at home. She is a trained seamstress and very enthusiastic about her job. She told us „I just love sewing“. Magdalena has been working for the company for more than 2 years.

Portugal – the art of sewing at its finest

Manuela has been in this sewing company for over 30 years and is now one of the supervisors. Most importantly, she pays attention to efficiency – because after all, we are always eager for the arrival of the beautiful new clothes at PETER HAHN. In her spare time, Manuela enjoys going for long walks.

Conceição has been working in the company for many years and is very talented in all organisational matters. She likes to see how new styles are developed. After work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Patrícia has worked at her company since 2002 and works in the design department. Above all, she enjoys the various challenges that each design comes with. After work she likes to spend her time reading, doing crafts or going to the cinema.

Thailand – first-class yarn

Malee has been working in her department for 24 years and is responsible for the so-called “soft winding” process. The yarn is wound by machines on special rollers suitable for subsequent dyeing. Outside work she is a passionate cook.

Khun & Tun

Khun (left) and his colleague Tun have been responsible for dyeing the spools of thread for almost 5 years and thus have vast specialist knowledge. Tun is particularly interested in music, and Khun likes to work out.

Somkid has been with our Thai yarn manufacturer for over 15 years and mostly works on the big cone winding machines. When she is not at work, she likes to play sports.
